Supporting Youth with Challenging Pasts Parenting Class

These classes are designed, based on the Love and Logic curriculum, for caregivers of youth ages 5-18. Families will receive a workbook  and resource guide. 

General Responsibilities for Separating Parents (GRASP)

The class as presented is designed to help attendees understand how the things angry and hurt adults say and do to each other can hurt the children they both love.  The goal is to guide parents to find insights and strategies to enable them to work together to raise their children.

  • Positive Discipline Approaches

  • Child Safety

  • Drug & Alcohol Prevention

  • Positive Parent and Child

  • Power Struggles

Class Details


  • 3 Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM

  • 5 Monday evenings from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM


Classes start about every six to eight weeks. Participants must attend all classes in succession in order to successfully complete the class.


Offered at the Leavenworth and Atchison locations

Due to COVID-19, classes have currently been canceled.

  • The importance to your children of letting go and moving on

  • How to put together a plan to co-parent your children

Class Details

  • GRASP Class is offered three times per month

  • 2 hours long

  • Held in the Training Center at the CASA Office

  • The days classes are offered vary each month – please call or email for specific dates available

  • $30 fee for the class


Offered only at the Leavenworth location
